FTC offers several easy options for paying your bill: Pay IVR is an automated telephone system that allows you to pay 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also access your account online at ftc.net; set up an automatic draft from your checking account; pay in person during business hours; or use our overnight depositories.

 

If you need more information regarding charges on your bill or have any questions concerning your bill, contact Customer Service at 888-218-5050. To view or pay your bill online, click "My Account" along the top navigation bar of this site. Once in "My Account", click on "Pay Online."

Adjustments are normally shown on the following month’s bill.

Detail Local Services – Rates subject to change

  • Rates are determined by county to support the cost of providing E911.
  • Current rate is 62¢.
    • Effective Date: 06/01/2014
  • Previous Rate: 63¢
  • Current rate for Kershaw county is $1.00.

  • Taxes and Surcharges on Local Service​​​​​

Local Service State Tax 

  • SC state tax is 6%.
  • Applies to all retail revenue billed to the South Carolina Universal Service Fund (SC USF) surcharge (but no other surcharges).

Local Service County Tax

  • Subscribers in Clarendon, Lee, Florence, or Sumter County are assessed 2%.
  • Subscribers in Kershaw, Georgetown, or Williamsburg County are assessed 1%.
  • Applies to all retail revenue billed to the South Carolina Universal Service Fund (SC USF) surcharge (but no other surcharges). ​​

Wireless Usage Charges

Federal Universal Service Charge (FUSC)

  • Rate: 18.8%
    • Effective: 10/01/2017
  • FUSC applies to wireless billing, but at a federally adopted “Safe Harbor” percentage of 37.1%.
  • Since wireless plans include local, intrastate and interstate usage, the Safe Harbor percentage is applied to account for the interstate portion subject to FUSC (37.1% of total billing).
    • 37.1 x 15.7% = 5.8247%
  • Calculated Rate: 5.8247%
    • Effective Date: 07/01/2014
  • Previous Calculated Rate: 5.7876%
    • Effective from 10/01/2013 to 06/30/20​​14

State Universal Service Charge (SC USF)

  • Rate: 2.5454%
    • Effective: 12-1-13
  • Previous Rate: 2.5992%
    • Effective from: 11/30/2012 – 11/30/2013
  • Does not apply to other state surcharges (E911).
  • Federal Tax (3%) applies to the State Universal Service Charge.

Universal Service Charge State Tax

  • State Tax (6%) + County Tax (determined by county) apply to the State Universal Service Charge.

Municipality Tax

  • 1% tax is assessed on all retail revenue billed to subscribers located within the incorporated city/town limits.
  • Not assessed to those with a county tax district.

Contact Customer Service at 888-218-5050 48 hours after the event to confirm billing. Prior to the event, the TV guide data will indicate that you have pre-ordered the event.

On your FTC Digital TV bill, each of your Video On Demand rentals will be listed individually by title with associated rental cost. You will see them listed under usage charges on your bill.
