Frequently Asked Questions: Mobile Share

FTC Mobile Share plans include unlimited talk, text & picture messaging and your choice of data package to share with all of your devices on your account. Additionally, all Mobile Share plans include mobile hotspot and tethering capability on applicable devices.

FTC Mobile Share plans give you value, flexibility and simplicity.
Value – The more you share the more you save. In addition to unlimited talk and text, the larger the data bucket you choose, the less you pay per gigabyte and the less you pay for each smartphone added to the shared plan.
Flexibility – You build your own plan to fit your devices and data usage needs. Maximize your data by sharing it across your devices and take advantage of any unused data.
Simplicity – Managing your data has never been easier. Consolidating your data into one shared plan means you don’t have to keep track of multiple data plans.

Our Mobile Share plans require at least one smartphone per group and all devices must be on the same account. You can share unlimited talk, text and your choice of data with up to nine additional devices per group: smartphones, basic/quick messaging phones, tablets, gaming devices, USB modems, netbooks, laptops or mobile hotspots. You can have more than one Mobile Share group per account.

You do not have to change your current data plan to a Mobile Share plan. Only Mobile Share plans allow sharing of unlimited talk, text AND data, so if you want to share data across devices you will need to change to a Mobile Share plan.

Additional data is billed at $20 per 300MB on 300 MB plan and $15 per 1 GB on all other plans.

No. Only Mobile Share plans will allow you to share data across devices. If you have an unlimited data plan and choose to move to a Mobile Share plan, you will not be able to migrate back to your old plan.

Tablets purchased at full retail price are eligible to enroll in a Mobile Share plan. If you purchased a tablet for a discounted, two year commitment price and move your tablet to a Mobile Share plan, your existing contract will not follow the tablet. This would terminate the agreement and appropriate liquidated damages would apply, even if you activate the tablet on a Mobile Share group.
