- 4 cups cooked quick (not instant) grits
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 stick butter
- 1 lb mild sausage
- 1 1/4 cups sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Prepare grits according to package instructions. Add butter. Mix in cream of celery soup. Sauté sausage until well done, drain and mix in to grits. Add 1 cup of cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well. Pour into 13×9″ baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350º until cheese melts and grits are bubbly.
