Macaroni and Cheese – Comfort Foods 2011


  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Cook macaroni according to package instructions.  Drain.  Melt butter in sauce pan and add flour.  Mix well and cook until just before it starts to brown.  Add milk and let mixture start to thicken.  Add all of the grated cheese except reserve enough to sprinkle over the top of the casserole. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
