Ingredients
Healthier Pizza Dough
- 1 cup whole-wheat flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 package quick-rising yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 3/4 cup hot water, (120-130 degrees)
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Marinara Sauce
- 2 Large Cans of Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 Can of Tomato Sauce
- 4 Gloves of Garlic (minced)
- 1 TBS Fresh Basil
- 4 TBS Fresh Oregano Chopped
- 4 TBS Fresh Parsley Chopped
- 1/2 Onion Chopped finely
- 2 TBS Olive Oil
- Fresh Ground Pepper to taste
- Salt to Taste
Asparagus Pizza with White Pizza
- Asparagus
- Ham cubes
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Grated mozzarella cheese
For the White Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Pinch of salt
- Milk
- Garlic to taste
Veggie Tomato Sauce Pizza
Tomato Sauce:
- 2 large cans crushed tomatoes
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- Small handful of fresh basil (torn)
- 3 tablespoons fresh chopped oregano
- Pinch of sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- Raw veggies as desired (Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Olives, etc)
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Grated Mozzarella cheese
- For Meat lovers you can add pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, bacon, ham, etc.
Directions
Healthier Pizza Dough
Combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a food processor and pulse to mix. Mix hot water and pile together. Add to flour mixture. Form mixture into a ball. (Recipe may be mixed by hand as well). Cover and let stand in a warm place until dough rises (about 20 minutes). Roll dough and place on pizza stone or pan. Top as desired.
Veggie Tomato Sauce Pizza
Sauté minced garlic and onions until onions are clear. Add other ingredients to a large pot and simmer for several hours for optimum flavor. When sauce is thick, spread on the tomato sauce over pizza dough. Arrange veggies as desired on pizza. Top with grated mozzarella and parmesan. Bake at 450° until cheese melts.
Marinara Sauce
Combine all ingredients as listed in large stock pot and let simmer for several hours.
