Bacon and Tomato Quiche


  • 2 (9 inch) deep-dish pie crusts
  • 10 eggs
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar
  • 6 oz bacon
  • 3 green onions
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 small tomato
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste


Bake pie crusts in 400° oven for 7 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. In a large bowl, mix eggs with sour cream. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder and nutmeg. Add grated cheese. Fry bacon and crumble.  Add to egg mixture. Mix in chopped onions and diced tomatoes. Divide mixture into two pie crusts. Bake at 350° for about 40 minutes.
