Fried Pork Chops, Okra and sweet corn

Ingredients

Pork Chops

  • Center cut pork chops
  • 1 pint buttermilk
  • Flour
  • Bacon Grease or Vegetable Oil
  • Texjoy
  • Cavendars
  • Salt and Pepper

Okra

  • 2 lbs Okra (stems removed)
  • 2 vegetable bouillon cubes
  • Water
  • Texjoy
  • Cavendars
  • Salt and Pepper

Sweet Corn

  • Sweet Corn in husk
  • Butter
  • Salt

Directions

Pork Chops:

Marinate pork chops in buttermilk for 30 minutes. Then remove from buttermilk and flour on both sides. Fry in bacon grease or vegetable oil until brown and juices run clear. Add Texjoy, Savendars, Salt and Pepper to taste.

Okra

Dissolve 2 vegetable bouillon cubes in water and then add 2 pounds of Okra. Season to taste and bring to a boil. Simmer for 30-35 minutes

Sweet Corn

Leave corn in husk and cut one inch off big end. Microwave on high for three minutes per ear. After cooking grab silk end and shake off husk and silk. Caution it will be very hot. Season to taste and add butter.
