Party Foods, Lemon Cookies, Bacon Wrapped Dates and Baked Brie


Lemon Cookies

  • 2 Sticks of Softened Salted Butter
  • Cup of Sugar
  • 1 Egg Beaten
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Flavoring
  • 1 tsp Lemon Flavoring
  • Lemon Zest from 1 Lemon
  • 2 Cups Self Rising Flour (sifted)

Bacon Wrapped Dates

  • Dates (remove pitts)
  • Feta Cheese
  • Bacon
  • Toothpicks


  • 2 Rolls of Brie Cheese
  • 3 TBS Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Put Pecan pieces
  • Apple Slices



Lemon Cookies: Mix Butter and Sugar until it is fluffy, add beaten egg, add flavorings, add 1/2 of lemon zest. Add 1/4 of sifted self rising flour and mix, then add another 1/4 and mix and so on until all the flour is mixed well. Batter will be thick. Roll into ball and put on greased cookie sheet two inches apart. Put a little lemon zest on each cookie. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Bacon Wrapped Dates: Spit Dates and stuff with Feta Cheese, wrap dates with bacon and hold together with toothpick. Bake in oven preheated at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and flip and bake for another 5-8 minutes.

Brie: 2 tubes of brie cheese slices into rounds put in serving dish. Sprinkle top brown sugar. Then Add pecan pieces. Microwave for 2 minutes. Stir. Sprinkle with a little more brown sugar. Add a few more pecans. Serve with Apple bites or toasted cracker bites.
