Strawberry Cake from Chicken Cordon Bleu Episode


  • Vanilla or strawberry cake mix
  • 3 oz package of strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tsp vanilla flavoring
  • 4 eggs (room temperature)
  • A dozen strawberries (approx.)
  • 8oz of cream cheese softened
  • 1 stick of salted butter softened
  • 2 lbs of confectionate sugar


Begin with a vanilla or strawberry cake mix, and add package of strawberry gelatin, milk, vegetable oil, 1 tsp vanilla flavoring, eggs and mix well. Dice 3 strawberries and add to cake batter. Mix again. Spray 3 cake pans with nostick baking spray. Pour batter evenly into each pan. Bake for 25 minutes on 325 degrees



Blend together butter and cream cheese. Dice 2 large strawberries then cut into smaller pieces add to mixture Divide 2 lbs of confectionate sugar into 4 parts and add and mix one quarter at a time. Add 2 tsp of vanilla flavoring. If frosting is too thick you can thin by adding just a little water or milk. Spread a thin layer of frosting to all three cooled cake layers, stack layers and crumb coat frosting around edges and let sit to harden. This will crumb the cake so that when you add the rest of the frosing it will spread well without tearing up the cake.Then add remaining frosting and decorate with fresh strawberries
