Traveling internationally this summer or maybe taking a cruise abroad and need to stay connected with the folks back home?
The good news for FTC Wireless customers is that with the recent upgrade to the International Day Pass plan, keeping in contact with family or work is even easier. Before this change, passengers would have to buy packages through their cruise lines and then utilize another through FTC when they got to land.
Now it’s one all-encompassing plan. Below are the details, but just a reminder, cruisers need to make sure they have added the International Day Pass to their lines before they start their trips.
- Once a ship gets 6 nautical miles from land, FTC Wireless customers on the plan will be charged $20 per device for a 24-hour period on the days they use their devices. It is important to note that there is no limit on the number of days charged when used at sea. Also, there are no discounts or caps on cruise usage.
- If they are on a cruise ship and get on land during a 24-hour period and use their devices, they will be charged only the $20 fee.
- Those only on land during a 24-hour period will be charged $12 for the first device and $6 for any additional device. The most subscribers will be charged for one billing period is 10 days.
Also remember that with International Day Pass, wireless customers can use their unlimited plan with FTC while traveling abroad in more than 210 destinations in Asia, Australia, Europe, Central America, South America, the Middle East, South Pacific islands and the Caribbean.
